I'm currently reading a pptx file and wanted e.g. the position of all shapes on my slides. Problem is I need to traverse through all layers then because of Placeholders. That´s where I found your ResolvedLayout very useful, until the point I realized, that it only resolves Placeholders that have a type (!=OBJ) and not those, which only have an id (idx).
It would be very useful if it would also resolve Placeholders, ...

Hi! I have a few pptx files that should be merged, but I am unable to do it in Java. Online merger fails to merge the files too. The problem is that these pptx files have custom themes to add watermarks etc. I am using Plutext Enterprise 3.2.0 trial version.

I’m trying to duplicate a slide in a PPTM (or PPTX doesn’t matter).

My first try was:

-Find the slide I want to duplicate
-Add the slide to the MainPresentationPart

But I just got errors over errors - probably because it’s not possible to add a slide with same rid’s and so on.

Anyway my second attempt looks like this:

-Find the slide(1) I want to duplicate
-Get the slides(1) SlideLayoutPart
-Get the slides(1) ...

On the web based version available on the site, the merging of several files with different styles work with no problem. However when I used the program myself (I am talking about the samples that come with the test version) it generates a file which is not readable (read: broken).

With charts i have no problem, following your sample code I update the chart and the spreadsheet at the same time and when I open the new document I can see the new data in slides.

my situation is the following: I've written a little Java program, which generates an Excel and a PowerPoint document. The PowerPoint document stores a lot of charts, all linked to the Excel document. But the path of this Excel doc isn't always the same (I don't overwrite them, they all come into another folder).
So I have to change the references of the charts. I thought, it would be easy, but I couldn't ...
