Thanks for writing pptx4j! It's great to be able to create full-featured powerpoint presentations from Java!

I'm trying to create a presentation with a chart on it. However, I am getting the following exception:

Wonder if you have time to offer some general advice.

Currently we have an application that populates Word (2003 + compatibility pack) documents using bookmarks as placeholders and VB to insert values. We wish to move to a server-side, java-based solution.

There are two types of bookmark placeholder:
1. single valued - vb locates the bookmark and adds a value immediately after it (this is the easy case)
2. multi-valued - these bookmarks always ...

A heads up that there are several reports of problems using JAXB RI 2.2.3 with docx4j.

If you are encountering this, you should use an earlier implementation of JAXB (via the endorsed dir mechanism, if necessary).

JAXB RI 2.2.3 is used inter alia in Metro 2.1 (and via that, Glassfish 3.1).

I've had a quick look at http://java.net/jira/browse/jaxb but couldn't see any relevant issues. I will investigate further ...

i m reading a .docx Dokument where a SdtRuns are inside or the P.

The problem is i gain a JAXBElement instead. And i can not convert it to the required type nevent if jax.getDeclaredType().equals(SdtRun.class) is TRUE.

After installing windows 7 (and thus my development setup), docx4j doesn't seem to work anymore. When reading a docx (ones that worked earlier, or even extremly simple new documents containing just a few paragraphs), I get an exception as soon as it tries to parse the body tag:

As i try to make a jar in Eclipse with ant tool i gain many those errors:

I'm new to docx4j and I'm currently using it to load and evaluate DOCX documents. The documents I need to read contain a couple of images that may contain labels above (z-level-above) the images.

Now, parsing the files I realized, that the order of how elements appear in MS Word is not the same as I get it from using the TraversalUtil. E.g., I constructed an example document with two images next to each ...
