Hi all,

has anyone tried the "ConvertHTML" sample shipped with docx4j? Today, I installed docx4j for being used with my eclipse (Ganymede) according to the installation guidelines.

When trying the ConvertHTML example, I *always* got an
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

I got the exception in the "org.docx4j.convert.out.html.HtmlExporter.html" method, with configured heap spaces (of up to 1 GB). I also tried several documents, including the ones delivered with docx4j.

Any ideas?

Another question.

Say I have a master document + multiple other documents. Multiple other documents can have their own styles, headers, footers, endnotes, numbering etc.

I upload multiple other documents to master document.
There will be addition of different parts, relationshipids and matching to main document/rels document etc.
For e.g. numbering.xml will have a different abstractNumId/NumId for same kind of hierarchy & bullet/number. To make sure that an uploaded document has it's original bullet style, ...

I have WordprocessingMLPackage this.wmlPack and I'm trying this:

In SVN, HeaderPart and FooterPart are now JAXB XML Parts.

I haven't tested them yet, but they should work for opening an existing document (containing headers/footers).

For marshalling, i suspect tomorrow I will need to change things a little, so JAXB knows whether to marshall it as a header or a footer in a given case.

I try to place an image at the place of a text. I create a new <w:p> element containing image and replace at the place of previous <w:p> image containg text.I generate the output docx and the format looks perfect in a xml editor.The docx does open in Microsoft word and recognizes a blank picture. The actual image does not appear.
If I edit the original w:document manually, it works. dox4j library has added <v:shapetype ...

Case1:
I have an image1 in document and want to replace it with image2.

Case2:
Or I have a variable ${image1} and want to replace that with an actual image.

These are not text replacement but replacement of an image in place of a text or image.

Case1 - attempt:
I follow the example (OpenMainDocumentAndTraverse.java) and try to detect the Image in the document and modiify the URI. For an image it does not detect ...

Hi I want to use your library to convert DOCX into PDF.
And similarly to to kayithala, I want to use it with Java 1.4.
Is there an easy way to get there.
Just for info we have already surcharged the JAXB library to use the 2.0 (because of XPath use).

Suppose you want to add a horizontal line to your document (the equivalent of HTML's <hr/>).

The following code would work:

But that is very painful to write; and you are only likely to get it right if you are looking at the OpenXML ...
