Several survey respondents said they'd like it if docx4j also supported xlsx.

This suggestion is now implemented in svn trunk tip.

Various respondents indicated an interest in the docx4all source code, which has required a username/password to access.

docx4all is Plutext's simple Swing-based docx word processor, which you can run as an applet or an application. (See demo pages elsewhere on this web site)

Anyway, the source code is now available for download.

If you do download/use it, and wish to discuss, please do so in the docx4all forum.

It's great to see the maven build work now, but there is a run time dependency missing batik-uil, you probably need to add the following to your pom file.

I have a requirement to parse a docx file, looking for user-supplied tags and substitute images or text.

As noted in the getting started guide, searching for text is problematic because the text could be broken across multiple runs.

I'm wondering if there's a way to (using Word) insert some sort of tag that's easy to parse for in the XML (using docx4j).

I am happy to have an ant build, however when I run ant dist I got the following compile error. I already modified the "m2Repository" in build.xml to point to my maven repository.

New to docx4j, new to JAXB.

I want to remove some text and, in that place, add an image.

Looking at the samples and quick start guide, I've managed to open my docx file and find the text node(s) using xpath.

I've got the JAXB text nodes .. I just don't know what to do now.

Should I delete the existing text node and insert a new paragraph node? Should I change the ...
