I have two questions. Since tabs are converted to 3 times &nbsp; (while converting to xhtml) I am trying to program the right conversion myself but for this I need to know if Word has a standard size for the <tab /> elements (like 30px or something).

I have docx file which is a template document(let's say it temp.docx), having header and footer. Also i have a another docx file which is having text for final document(let's say data.docx). Well My requirement is to create a document by inserting all the text and formatting information from 'data' to 'temp' file.
I tried following code:

Is it possible to copy all the contents (elements) of a page into another document in place of a Place Holder.

I am using Text Place Holders in template, and i am able to add images, text, paragraphs, tables, on those place holders. I have a requirement, where i have to copy all the pages of a word document (different document) and paste those pages in place of a place holder in template?

I'm recently using the docx4j and i'm trying to set a bookmark on a Word document (it's my template file).

I already see the manual but i don't find the answer :S

I'm using version 2.8.1 and i'm getting a Bookmark based on the code available http://www.docx4java.org/forums/docx-java-f6/bookmarks-and-templates-advice-t681.html.

Currently I'm using the Docx4j API to modify the word template and has one query regarding bookmark contents.
I've huge word template (414 pages) with many bookmarks in it. I can remove all the bookmarks using BookmarksDeleter sample.
Now I have to remove corresponding selection of bookmark. Modification/String manipulation of document.xml was not feasible as bookmarks span across paragraphs.

If using ACTIVE X, it is achieved via below code:-
myDocument.Bookmarks(deleteBookMarkName).Select();
myDocument.Application.Selection.Delete();

Hi!

How do I install docx4java so I can use it?
I downloaded the jar file and double clicked on it but there came a small window that said "A java exception has occured".
I then went into command prompt and did "jar -x docx4j.jar" but nothing happened.

Im not so familiar with jar files or working with eclipse. I use mainly notepad and compile at the command line.

Can somone help me?

I am currently doing a program that generates docx files. and with docx4j i can successfully save it without any problems. but now i need to make an option where the user can view the docx file instead of saving it. how do i do this using java? here's my sample program
