Recently, my company received a business request.
We need to use the MS Word .docx templates that they(customers) had send to us, add
some placeholders in templates to generate a dynamic PDF document.
Googling for a long time, I decided to use Docx4J. But there is a problem I can't deal with it very well:
There is a photo which floating above on the text in the template.

I would like to know if it is possible to append a String rtf content to a docx ?
The code I'm currently using replace bookmarks with string and the rtf string I use to replace "DestAdresse3" do not conserve the formatting.
Map<DataFieldName, String> map = new HashMap<DataFieldName, String>();
map.put( new DataFieldName("DestAdresse1"), "test1");
map.put( new DataFieldName("DestAdresse2"), "test2");

Parsing error when reading a document from Google Docs
Hello,
I'm currently having a very similar issue to the one described here: docx-java-f6/problem-with-document-created-by-google-docs-t1802.html

I know this isn't a bug with docx4j, but I'm hoping you guys could get address this faster than Google (seeing how the original bug was posted last year and they didn't reply).

Unable to deploy Docx4j to Wildfly 8.2
I am getting this error:
org.docx4j.openpackaging.exceptions.Docx4JException: Error marshalling Content_Types
Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException at org.docx4j.jaxb.NamespacePrefixMapperUtils.setProperty(NamespacePrefixMapperUtils.java:155)
I am using docx4j 3.2.1 and JAXBNamespacePrefixMapper-2.2.4 are deployed in my ear.
Here is my jboss-deployment-structure.xml file.

Failure in converting XHTML string to list<WML objects>

Recently upgraded docx4j version from 2.8.0 to 3.2.1
Rich content needs to inserted in Word document.
Used :
since 'convert' method changed in latest version, what is the equivalent to get list of wmi objects?
Tried the following snippet:
but formatting is not retained.

Numbers not displayed in html
I am using docx4j 3.2.1 to convert .docx files into .html files in real time; in other words, when the web browser requests the file, tomcat reads the .docx file, uses docx4j to convert it into a html string, then streams the content back to the browser. I just tried the enterprise extension to find out if we can use it for our project.
I wanted to merge two docx files, but the output file is courrupt. I found out, that the reason is a footnote in the docx file, that should be included in the master docx file. As soon as I remove the footnote, it works.
Here is my code:

Simple docx is corrupt on Office 15.04701.1000

I'm using docx4j version 3.2.1 to build docx files and I have a problem with a specific Office vesion (15.0.4701.1000). I run the basic example (CreateWordprocessingMLDocument.java) and the generated docx cannot be opened by this office version. Office shows the following message "We're sorry. We can't open OUT_CreateWordprocessingMLDocument because we found a problem with its contents". On error details: "The file is corrupt and cannot be opened".
