Helo Jason.

I have a problem with the headers in my document.
If someone creates a document and adds a headers ( of first page its empty ).
The pages are spread into sections.
On the second page the person adds a header and clicks the "Different first page" inside the Word.
On the next page he doesn't click it, and so on...

The template i created is in the attachment.

So the problem occurs ...

we docx4j to replace find certain keyword in word document and replace it with other values.
however we find that when the values we replace contain new line or carriage return character
(ascii 10 and ascii 13). when we set with new value, it will automatically replace with white space (ascii 32).

e.g

newValue = 10/10/2010
11/10/2010

but in the word document after replace it will become "10/10/2010 11/10/2010"

Specifically I want to see details about the w:tblStyle and w:tblW elements.

For docx4j users who wants to analyze and edit the XML parts of a docx/pptx/xlsx, the attached swing
program DocWin.java will be helpful. (I got sick of the tedium of manually unzipping, opening different

We are bulding a form with a rich text control. The control is not bind to a customXml file as we want styling, bullet and so in the text. The content of the control will be transformed to html and stored in SQL database. The content will finaly display in a web page where it could also be download as a docx.

with docx4j. Having the full-fidelity JAXB tree of every part of every
document type is indispensible. POI is simply unsatisfactory for the xml
formats, as unsatisfactory as the Hawaiian foodstuff.

It appears docx4j.2.5.0 is compatible with Grails (v1.3.5) but docx4j.2.6.0 is not. marshaling to a string fails when I change the Grails conf/BuildConfig to use 2.6.0. JAXB makes me dizzy with all its "features" so I was hoping someone can assist. I switched to jdk 1.6 to simplify JAXB situation but still can't get around this error.

Hello Gurus,

I am new to docx4j, and using docx4j to create a word document programatically, in which i would like embed an Outlook Message file.

And also, When I dynamically add Table of Contents "TOC", document is getting corrupted.

Can any one please shed some light on, how can I embed a file and dynamically add TOC in a file?
