Update of Dependency Versions

Are there any plans to update the versions of the dependencies?
common-io is currently at 1.3.1 and the current versions are 2.* and are incompatible with using docx4j.

How does the incompatibility manifest itself?

common-io 1.3.1 is required by xmlgraphics-commons, but excluding that and using 2.2 directly in the docx4j pom seems to work.
