creating unordered list

Hi,
i am trying to create a list inside a new word document, can anyone help me with
1) how to add list into the document with an example or some pointers.
2) since i am creating list from scratch, the NumberingDefinitionsPart is null, so can you help me with creating this.

i figured out step 2, creating the NumberingDefinitionsPart.

can some one provide me an example to create list, list-item(member of a list) from scratch
