Convert HTML to DOCX - Highlighted text

Does XHTMLImporter.java support converting highlighted text in HTML to w:highlights in DOCX?

<font style="background-color:#FFF305;">Steve Nash</font>

or

<span style="background-color:#FFF305;">Steve Nash</span>

if not - could you give me some pointers on how I might do that during conversion?
